This website (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent visitor guide to the sumo show at the Shibuya Sumo Club, and it earns affiliate commission. This page explains how we handle your personal data.

Some links on this site are affiliate links: the show times, prices and booking calendar come from GetYourGuide. If you book through one of them we may earn a commission, and the price you pay is the same.

Important: Data Processing

Booking details (your name, payment and contact details) go to GetYourGuide, not to this website. When you book, you give that information directly to GetYourGuide under its privacy policy.

Please review: GetYourGuide Privacy Policy

This website collects minimal information:

  • Server logs: Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) for security and operational purposes.
  • Email contact data: If you email us, we keep your email address and message so we can reply.

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers of our own, and we do not collect, store, or process:

  • Payment information

  • Passport or ID numbers
  • Precise location data

How We Use Your Information

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for purposes of its own. The embedded booking calendar and any link you follow to GetYourGuide are governed by GetYourGuide’s own cookie and privacy policies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. This may affect the booking calendar.

Third-Party Services

  • GetYourGuide: Processes bookings made through the calendar and links on this site. Review its privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts: This site’s design loads type from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com; when your browser requests them, Google can see your IP address and user agent. Review their privacy policy.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to data processing
  • Data portability

  • Email correspondence: kept for 2 years or until you ask us to delete it

Children’s Privacy

This website does not knowingly collect data from children under 16. Bookings must be made by adults.
